燈光設計的重點不在「明亮」，而在「靜觀」。大部分區域僅以基本的照度界定空間輪廓，足夠讓人看見、卻不打擾思緒。中庭的植栽並未走日式的精準，而是以線性燈帶由室內延伸至背牆，讓植物在夜裡化為柔和的剪影，自然成為光影之間最美的風景。這樣的安排，讓光彷彿也懂得節制，在適度中留白，在陰影裡給予空間更多的呼吸。
沿著樓梯而上的下照壁燈，靜靜照亮轉角，不造作卻安全而溫暖；臥室內只懸掛簡單的吊燈與閱讀投光燈，明暗之間帶有一點詫寂的氣息，使人放鬆而專注。光不為裝飾服務，而是讓所有物件都得以呈現原有的質地與誠實的美感。這裡沒有多餘的語言，只有時間與光共同塑造的靜謐。

This riverside residence quietly rests at the edge of the city, like a peaceful retreat carved out for the soul. The homeowner, someone who treasures calm and stillness, envisioned a space not for display but for living at ease. At the heart of the house lies a modest courtyard where sunlight filters through the greenery, softening as it falls indoors, turning each day into a poetic rhythm of light and shadow.
The lighting design focuses not on brightness but on serenity. Most areas are illuminated just enough to define form and orientation, allowing visibility without disturbing the atmosphere. The courtyard’s landscape avoids deliberate symbolism; instead, a linear light extends from the interior to the back wall, shaping the plants into gentle silhouettes at night. Here, the light breathes with restraint—creating pauses, giving shade a quiet voice, and letting the space feel alive through subtle contrast.
Along the stairs, discreet wall-mounted lights mark each turn, providing safety with warmth. Inside the bedrooms, simple pendant lamps and reading spotlights suffice—lighting that evokes wabi-sabi, modest yet deeply soothing. The light does not decorate; it reveals. Every surface and texture is allowed to remain true to itself, without embellishment. There are no dramatic statements here, only the tranquil dialogue between light and time.
