本案為一處位於台北的寵物友善住宅設計，居住成員包含貓與狗，整體燈光規劃以「以人為本，寵物為輔」為核心原則，在滿足業主生活需求的同時，兼顧毛小孩的安全與使用情境。全室照明亮度皆為客製化配置，依據業主的生活習慣與空間使用頻率進行精準設計，打造舒適且實用的居住環境。
客廳空間結合展示與寵物活動需求，背景牆的跳台設計融合了家庭展示功能，回應有孩童家庭常見的作品陳列需求。燈光設計上選用低壓且具防水性能的戶外燈具，不僅提升安全性，也有效降低因寵物活動（如嘔吐或潑灑）所帶來的風險。透過燈光與機能整合，使展示、收納與寵物動線自然融合，形塑多功能的生活場域。
餐廳區域則考量業主長時間聚餐、讀書與寫字的家庭需求，特別強化燈光的舒適性與視覺控制。後方弧形層板設計刻意將燈具與層板本體分離，僅在必要的區域提供照明，避免牆面過度明亮，同時有效降低餐桌上的眩光問題。此一設計不僅提升用餐體驗，也讓空間在視覺上更加柔和且具有層次。
廚房與客廳之間採用直紋玻璃作為隔間，兼顧機能與視覺穿透性。為維持整體空間的一致性與天花板的簡潔感，燈光配置刻意隱藏於角落，透過側向投光讓玻璃表面呈現單側光斑效果，強化材質紋理，同時營造低調而細膩的光影表現。
小孩房的設計則回應未來彈性使用的需求。目前規劃為兩間相連空間，中間設有可穿越的廊道，未來可依成長需求進行區隔。燈光設計預先整合多種使用情境，提供彈性配置方案。當空間維持開放狀態時，廊道以低亮度提供舒適通行；當隔間關閉後，各自空間仍能獲得足夠且均衡的照明支持，確保不同階段的使用需求皆能被滿足。
整體而言，本案住宅燈光設計著重於「當下生活」與「未來變化」的整合思維。透過精準的光源選擇與配置策略，在不增加多餘設計元素的前提下，滿足業主對於安全性、舒適性與彈性的基本需求，並同時打造一個對人與寵物皆友善的居住環境。

This project is a pet-friendly residential lighting design in Taipei, home to both cats and dogs. The overall lighting concept follows a human-centered, pet-supportive approach, prioritizing the daily needs of the residents while carefully considering the safety and behavior of their pets. All illumination levels are custom-tailored to the client’s lifestyle and the frequency of use in each area, creating a comfortable and highly functional living environment.
In the living room, display and pet activity are thoughtfully integrated. The feature wall incorporates a stepped platform that combines a display surface for children’s artwork with an elevated zone for pets. Low-voltage, water-resistant outdoor luminaires are intentionally selected to enhance safety and reduce potential risks from pet accidents such as spills or vomiting. By integrating lighting with storage, display, and circulation, the space naturally supports multiple modes of living for both the family and their animals.
The dining area is designed to support long gatherings, reading, and writing as part of the family’s everyday routine. Lighting comfort and visual control are key considerations. A curved shelving wall behind the dining table is detailed so that the fixtures are visually detached from the shelves, providing light only where it is truly needed. This avoids overly bright wall surfaces and effectively reduces glare on the tabletop, resulting in a softer, more layered visual experience.
Between the kitchen and the living room, a fluted glass partition balances privacy and openness. To maintain a clean, unobstructed ceiling, the lighting is concealed at the perimeter and directed from the edges, washing the glass from one side. This creates a subtle, one-directional light effect that emphasizes the vertical texture of the glass while delivering a calm and refined play of light and shadow.
The children’s rooms are planned with future flexibility in mind. They are currently configured as two connected rooms with a pass-through corridor, allowing circulation between them. As the children grow, the spaces can be separated into two independent rooms. The lighting design anticipates these possible changes by offering multiple configuration options within one integrated scheme. When the passage functions as a corridor, it is lit at a low, comfortable level for circulation; once the doors are closed and each room becomes more independent, the lighting remains sufficient and well-balanced to support individual use.
Overall, this residential lighting design focuses on integrating present needs with future possibilities. Through precise fixture selection and strategic placement, the scheme avoids unnecessary visual clutter while fulfilling the client’s essential requirements for safety, comfort, and flexibility. The result is a home that is quietly efficient, thoughtfully lit, and genuinely friendly to both people and their pets.
